OKBET, a Filipino sportsbook, has become virtually ubiquitous in the sports betting industry.

OKBET added more prestige to the Mr. & Ms. Chinatown 2022 pageant by becoming the newest sponsor of the pageant. It gained this prestige by becoming the title sponsor of the regional basketball tournament that was founded by boxing legend and former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, known as the MPBL. Pacquiao founded the tournament.

OKBET’s Vice President for Marketing Business Development, Robert Chen, stated that the company helps young people in a variety of fields, including pageantry, in addition to helping young athletes. “OKBET assists young generations in a variety of fields, including pageantry,” Chen said.

An event that drew a throng and was arranged by OKBET took place in the Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, Manila, on Wednesday, and it was fitting that the candidates were presented there.

The night of the coronation will take place on October 30, although it won’t be shown until November 6th.

After the entire country was forced on lockdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic for the past two years, each of the sixteen contenders who were present today presented themselves and their causes before a live audience for the first time in that span of time.

Wilson Agbayani, chairman of the Ms. Chinatown Foundation, was present at the event to personally express his gratitude and bring attention to this significant milestone. Alvin Kingson Tan, president of CHiNOY TV, also approached the stage and made an announcement about a documentary series that would be broadcast in three parts and will depict the travels of the contestants as they compete in the pageant.

CNN Philippines will begin broadcasting this on October 16, and it will continue for a total of three weeks. The audience was given a tease by Tan when he said, “There are a lot of surprises in store.”

The event took place at the same time as OKBET’s Sports Day, which is when the neighborhood gambling platform announced its Play It Forward campaign. This October, the organization will launch a kids basketball camp in order to fulfill its goal to nurture the next generation of Filipino athletes and provide support for their athletic endeavors.

OKBET’s pilot initiative will benefit children who are enrolled in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) at Marcela Agoncillo Elementary School, Rajah Solaiman Elementary School, and Pedro Guevarra Elementary School. At the launch, players and coaching personnel from the GenSan Warriors OKBET club of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) were present. These individuals would be the ones to provide instruction to the participants of the tournament.
